Highlanders, environmentalists and just caring people oppose the construction of small hydropower plants on the Carpathian rivers. Activists united into a civic initiative "Saving Cheremosh."

According to the chief of the fuel and energy complex, efficient use of energy and mineral resources of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Vadym Koslenko, they estimated  you can build 60 mini-hydro capacity of 65 megawatts at Carpathian within five years.

The adapted for the stage performance'll be held on the 14th of January, 2013 on the big religious holiday Vasylia in the town Verkhovyna. Local folk groups'll show native inhabitants and guests customs and rituals inherent to Verkhovyna during the celebration of the Christmas. 

Koliadkas, felicitations, sounds of the trembita and bugles'll be heard on the main square of the town...
